Senja Direct – Arctic Route Bus Service

From 15th December 2024 to 31st March 2025, the Arctic Route offers a convenient winter bus connection between Tromsø and Senja. This service is perfect for winter travelers seeking a comfortable and direct route.

Express Boat

The express boat departs from Tromsø city center multiple times a day, taking you to Finnsnes in approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From Finnsnes, we can pick you up for the 45-minute drive to Camp Fjordbotn. On mondays, wednesdays and fridays, you can take a simular boat to Lysnes quay. Then you have only 5 minutes to Camp Fjordbotn by bus or we can pick you up.

From Lofoten

Hurtigruten and Havila Coastal Routes

If you're traveling along the iconic coastal routes, both Hurtigruten and Havila stop daily in Finnsnes. The northbound route arrives at 11:00 AM, and we can arrange a pick-up from Finnsnes.

From Harstad

Take the express boat from Harstad to Finnsnes, which takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. From Finnsnes, we’ll drive you to Camp Fjordbotn in 45 minutes.

By Car

Year-Round Access

You can drive to Senja all year round via Finnsnes. Enjoy the scenic routes along the way, including the National Tourist Route at Senja.

Summer Ferry Option

During the summer, you can take the ferry between Senja and Andenes, offering breathtaking views of the Norwegian coastline.

Driving Times:

• From Bardufoss Airport: Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
• From Tromsø Airport: Approx. 3 hours 15 minutes, or less than 2 hours via the Brensholmen-Botnhamn ferry.
• From Evenes Airport: Approx. 3 hours 15 minutes.

Private Transport

For added convenience, we offer private transport services directly to Camp Fjordbotn:

• From Tromsø: 2,500 NOK per person, minimum 2 people.
• From Finnsnes: 800 NOK per person, minimum 2 people.
• From Bardufoss: 1,200 NOK per person, minimum 2 people.
