Fjordbotn Camping is located right by the fjord, where there are good fishing opportunities. You can rent a boat from us, or you can fish from land. cod, saithe and haddock are the most common to catch, but there is also possible to get sea trout, especially in the spring. If you are extra lucky you can get both salmon and halibut. We have great fishing waters in the immediate vicinity. In these waters you can mainly catch trout, but there is also the possibility to get char. If you're going to fish in freshwater you will need a fishing license if you´re 16 or above. If you buy the license you can fish in three different water courses in Senja, Tennvatnet, Varnesvatnet and Ånderelva. The salmon fishing is from 1 july to 31 july and sea trout from 1 july to 15 august. Another popular fishing place is Laukhelle, a salmon river which flows on the inside of Senja. As a visiting angler you will experience periods with a lot of fishing in the most popular zones. There are still good opportunities to get a lot of fish in the water courses.
